We just recently went to Colorado on Aug. 6th to Grandpa Eastman's cabin to spend a week with him and the rest of the crew. We had so much fun fishing, 4-wheeling, building a fort (club), doing lots and lots of crafts, a few rounds of horse shoes, and telling stories and playing games around the camp fire. This was a great time for all the kids and something we will always remember. We thank Grandpa for having us and providing all the yummy food. GOOD TIMES!!!!
MOAB July 24th 2008
Jayden just finished his Baseball season, and played very well, he had some good friends on his team which made it so fun! These boys crack me up, they thought they were so cool with their BBQ flavored sunflower seeds that they HAD to have for every game. They would keep them in their back pocket while they were in the outfield and would be so occupied eating their seeds that they would miss half of their catches, so we put that to an end quick! They played real well and Jayden says it's one of his favorite sports!!!
Last Sunday our Family hiked up to Diamond Fork Hot Springs. It was perfect weather and beautiful views. We hiked for about an hour and stopped frequently for rests and drinks. Kemery said " Okay I think it's time for some lunch and here's where we're gonna stop." so we did and it was a perfect grassy flat spot right by the river to eat our picnic lunch. She sure knows how to pick the good spots! We then continued our hike and reached our destination about 45 min. later. As we stepped foot in the nice hot water, low and behold there were two naked grandpa's already soaking........uuuuhhhhh...... and they weren't shy either! I tried to keep the kids from letting there eyes wander in there direction, but it was difficult because it was such an open area with not a whole lot of areas to hide and change your clothes. Then as we were leaving we walked by the other hot spring and there was a lady topless just hanging out in there. I quickly told Jayden to look at that pretty tree in the other direction, it was too late, he already caught a glimpse.
We thought we were going for a nice beautiful family hike, but ended up seeing a little more than we expected, and answering questions I wasn't totally ready to answer yet!......Pretty Funny!
Oh well, some people just forget there swimsuits, right?

Well here are some recent pictures that just the two of us are actually in together, just because one of us is usually holding the camera so the other is always left out. And to actually get a professional one done of the two of us seems impossible to do for some reason. You would think we would have more taken of us than we do with how much photography access we have surrounding us............but NOOOOO! I usually don't like getting my own picture taken for a portrait ( I'm more of a candid person. I love posing candid! Ha! JK). But now I'm almost thinking I'll be a little more open to getting it done now because I'm only getting older and the wrinkles are coming and Botox is out of the question, Yaaaa.... I'll take em' while I'm young (Oh what am I thinking............Photoshop!...... Hello!!!) But I thought it would be nice to have at least one picture on the blog of the both of us considering I almost always have all kid pictures posted. This was taken on our Mexican Riviera cruise in Feb. of this year 08'. Isn't Rick Good Lookin?
Now this is what I call "Spring"! We headed to Cali over Spring break with our friends and neighbor's the Bitton's, and had so much Fun. We stayed in Newport for 4 days and went to the beach and saw wild dolphins 20 ft. in front of us. Jayden and Jameson screamed "SHARK". It kind of looked like a shark until we saw a whole school of them. We were pretty excited. I thought Rick was going to chase one down and grab a hold of the fin and ride it into shore.
We also went to Disneyland and it was really fun because Kemery is now tall enough to hit most of all the rides, she loves the "Tower of Terror". She is a little dare devil!! Jayden loves "Space Mountain" the best!
We then went to Palm Desert and stayed there for 4 days and Jenn and I played tennis and Rick, Jayden, Jameson and Jeff went golfing and of course we all went swimming everyday. This is the trip that Kemery learned to swim in the deep all by herself, she is so proud!!!
We had alot of fun, and we were happy to not have to wear a coat for eight days! I kinda want to go back for a few more weeks until it stops snowing here!!!! CRAZY!
Okay, not so cool. We all woke up to a Blizzard on Monday morning. Jayden was so upset because he couldn't ride his Ripstik to school and Kemery was mad because she has to wear socks, and shorts were totally out of the question. What can I say..... I was a little happy that I didn't plant any flowers, or clean my ext. windows, or just wash my truck, or clean off the patio furniture like I had planned to do a few days prior. The snow gave me a great excuse for not having to do my springtime cleanup just yet! But C'mon, I really would like some nice warm air and greenery PLEASE! Oh well, moisture is much needed, Right?
We're excited that school is nearly over and we can have a lot of fun this summer! We are literally going CRAZY!! This Day was Crazy Hair Day for school and Jayden went to school the way he woke up, and Kemery looks as if she had a princess tiara put on her head, only it was made out of her hair. Pretty Crazy Day. We're looking forward to a springtime trip to California and another camping trip to Flaming Gorge after that. Jayden is getting really good at riding the Ripstik and will start baseball soon. Kemery is still Dancing and is doing great with her tennis lessons. We all look forward to seeing more of our family and friends this summer and wish you all the very best!
Happy 6th Birthday!!!! Kemery!! We had a PJ and Pizza party and played Crazy Hair and other games and finished with a BIG Pillow fight! No messin' with these Girls they mean business!!!
